Lexi Thompson – Family, Golf And Tiger Woods

I grew up in Coral Springs, Florida playing golf with my two brothers, Nicholis, who plays professionally on the PGA Tour and my brother Curtis who is currently attending LSU. We were always extremely competitive with each other as kids and I think that is something that really has helped me compete at a high level at such a young age.
To this day, I’m still competitive with my brothers in pretty much anything. I’ve been home schooled since the sixth grade but I want to complete my high school education while still playing golf professionally.
If I had to say there was one part of my game that I feel is the strongest, it would probably be my ball striking and if there is one part of my game that I’m really working hard to get better at, it would be my short game. If I was to compare my game with any player on the men’s side, it would either be Phil Mickelson or Rory Mcilroy.
On the woman’s tour, we don’t have the star power that they have on the men’s side, but it’s so competitive that you have to shoot like 25 under to win. I was recently asked about Tiger Woods and if I thought he would ever come back to be the player he once was. I have a few things in common with Tiger Woods, like Tiger I was really young when I started to play proffessionally.
I was only 12 years old when I qualified to play in the Woman’s U S Open and at 16 I’m the youngest player to ever win an LPGA tournament. I think Tiger was 20 when he won his first proffessional tournament so I know the pressures of competing at a high level at a young age.
As far as Tiger coming back to be the dominant player that he once was, I think he will, he has the eye of the tiger.
